The first appointment with your provider will be for an initial psychiatric evaluation. These appointments typically last between 60 and 90 minutes. During this appointment your provider will assess your current concerns that brought you to the appointment, your past medical and mental health history, family history, and developmental history. Further testing may be ordered to help determine your treatment. A treatment plan will be created between you and your provider to determine your best course of treatment and care.

Pharmacological Follow-Up Appointments
You will meet with your provider for appointments to check in on your progress with your treatment. These appointments are typically 20 to 30 minutes in length. During these sessions your provider will evaluate your current symptoms, responses to any medication prescribed, and any changes to your physical health which may have occurred since your last appointment. Any adjustments needed to your treatment will be made at this time. Also, counseling, education, and referrals may be provided.
